CONTRACT GENERAL/CAPITAL ACCOUNTANT

Purpose of Position

To ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and the timely compilation of (monthly) financial statements and management reports for ARLANXEO Canada Inc. under the operational leadership and direction of the Head of Finance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Account reconciliations
  • Asset accounting
  • Enhance control environment by performing analytical review of accounts and processes
  • Accurate and complete journal entry input

Qualifications

  • Designated accounting degree (CA, CGA, CMA) or at minimum, a level III standing in CGA or CMA program
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry in Accounting/Finance areas
  • Advanced computer skills in accounting applications and MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills to ensure financial statements and reporting meets deadlines
  • Must have high attention to detail with accuracy

Other Information

Salary:            $30 – $35/hour

MATERIAL HANDLER

Salary:$19.47 per hour

Vehicle and Equipment Experience:Dollies and hand trucks; Pallet lifters; Industrial lift trucks and forklifts; Liquid handling equipment

Weight Handling:Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills:Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment; Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products; Pick orders and stock; Weigh materials and goods; Make labels and attach to goods; Wrap goods; Pack and unpack goods; Sort goods; Stack goods; Store cargo and materials; Transport and distribute materials and goods; Handle dangerous goods and hazardous products; Operate computerized inventory control systems

Own Tools/Equipment:Steel-toed safety boots

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

The CA will administer and coordinate assigned activities related to all aspects of contracts

  • Ensure that contract provisions are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Activities may include participating in contract negotiations, renewals, and modifications with the buyer
  • May assist in the process of contractor selection, development of scopes of work, job estimates, and shutdown schedules
  • Ensure supplier compliance to all aspects of contract terms
  • Monitors company performance relative to contractual obligations

  • Establishes applicable Environment Health & Safety (EHS) audit schedules and participates in the audits
  • Ensures contracts are managed per applicable laws and ethical standards
  • Participates in risk assessments and implements risk mitigation actions

Financial Impact of Operations

  • Ensures the accuracy of inventory records at contractor’s site

Communication

  • Establish communication processes to and from the contractor, including face to face visits
  • Ensures concerned parties have access to up-to-date copies of the agreement and any other documentation

Technology, Systems & Improvement

  • Identifies improvement needs at contractor’s sites
  • Ensures corrective action is implemented to address any root causes for failure in supply chain

Product Supply

  • Manage inventories at contractor’s site
  • Supplies valid data to supply chain planners
  • Ensures the appropriate management of change protocols
  • Conducts periodic performance reviews

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science disciplines, Supply Chain, or business, with 3-5 years or more experience in Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Site Operations, Sourcing, or Logistics
