OPERATIONS SUPPORT PERSONNEL

JOB DESCRIPTION

Rate: $20.87 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Employment Conditions: Shift, Day, Night

Duties will include but are not limited, to the following:

· Preparation of packaging materials.

· Keeping packaging materials well stocked in warehouse.

· Assist technicians with packaging of product.

· Using fork truck to place packaged product in warehouse or truck for shipment.

· Bring raw materials needed for process from warehouse.

· Putting up raw materials into base hoppers via tilt tables, box dumping hopper or directly dumping material into hopper.

· Cleanup of process area & warehouse before and after all activities (sweeping, floor sweeper operation, breaking down all non- reusable boxes, lids & pallets, removing & emptying garbage to compactor or waste bin) as required.

· Responsible for specific warehouse/shipping functions (helping shipper/receiver load/unload trucks).

· Wearing and being able to use radios.

· Shift turnovers are done in work area with counterpart from crew that they are relieving.

· Breaks need to be staggered and make sure that there is adequate coverage on the shop floor.

· Appropriate PPE for the task must be worn.

· Attend Participate in Operations shift safety meeting as per instructed by the crew leads.

Skills & Knowledge

· Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education

· Preference to previous experience in an industrial and or manufacturing facility.

· High level of mechanical aptitude.

· Be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision.

· High level of regard for Safety Health and Environment.

· Valid driver’s license. (Minimum G2)

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT PERSON

SOS PERSONNEL (SARNIA) INC. ON BEHALF OF DOW CHEMICAL CANADA

General

Administrative Support person to provide administrative support to all functional groups on site.

The hours of work for this role are 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Duties of the Administrative Support Personnel

Major accountabilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver on-going training and foster an environment of document ownership through Corporate Records & Information Management processes; maintain records inventory, auditing, and ensuring conformity surrounding lifespan of documents as per corporate guidelines
  • Assist Training Coordinator with site manuals and procedure updates, review tracking, and routing approvals
  • Maintain current SCRS web sites and Share Point sites working with IT Resources.
  • Administrative support tasks include, but are not limited to: database maintenance; data collection and documentation for graphs, charts, presentations; composing letters and notes as requested; researching a wide variety of informational requests; and analyzing trends.
  • Covers the critical reporting requirements (OT pay and temp lead pay premiums) during Operations Resource absence
  • Monitor and order the Site Controlled Forms as needed/requested
  • Facilitate and organize site functions and promotions and communication sessions
  • Administer site stationary and office supplies; maintain appropriate levels for usage and sourcing best value for special requests
  • Manage the Security System, including, but not limited to, taking photographs, managing ID cards swipe cards, obtaining photo release consents, troubleshooting issues.
  • Scan project files, file paperwork, maintain the file database, work with offsite contractors to determine best methods of transferring drawings and other documents
  • Act as a scribe for and provide administrative requirements for the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • Assist Contract Administration team with the prequalification of site contractors using web portal and ensuring files are current.
  • Update spreadsheets weekly with data pulled from Business Warehouse in SAP for the Supply Chain Team, upload to SharePoint, and then notify the team
  • Manage and distribute site mail, courier services, and order supplies as needed.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  • Preference to previous related experience and post-secondary education.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills; effective oral and written communicator
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with shifting priorities
  • High level of regard for Safety Health and environment
  • Valid driver’s license. (Minimum G2)
